Job description:

Our client is the world's largest privately owned and independent company for the development of powertrain systems with internal combustion engines, E-mobility applications as well as instrumentation and test systems. The company is looking for a new engineer to support in the area of developing next generation HV Traction Battery solutions from a concept to delivery.

The company supports customers in a number of areas relating to vehicle electrification, from high voltage components to hybrid vehicle control development. The role of HV TRACTION Battery Development Engineer requires working with other team members and the customer in order to deliver projects according to the plan. Will be playing a major role in the development of next generation traction battery development for a major OEM in their quest for low emission/EV strategy. The role will be part consultancy part design concept for a global drivetrain business. It is a great opportunity to be part of a massively expanding team building a world class presence across the globe.

As the HV Battery Development Engineer your responsibilities will include:
 - Support the development of HV Traction battery prototypes and production units
 - Support HV battery electrical design
 - Support HV battery requirements including FMEA activities
 - Support HV battery functional safety
 - Define validation plans and methodologies and evaluate the test results
 - Liaise with the other teams to provide information regarding the battery specifications (i.e. SW team, Inverter team)
 - Manage suppliers
 - Support battery modelling and simulation activities

Your Profile:

Essential skills for the HV Battery Development Engineer:
 - Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or similar
 - Good understanding of HV battery fundamentals, ability to comprehensively understand customer requirements
 - Broad experience in systems engineering and system delivery
 - Strong communication, teamwork and leading abilities
 - Analytical and conceptual capabilities
 - Good written and oral English
 - Confident in presenting to management and technical specialists

Preferable skills for the HV Battery Development Engineer:
 - Expertise in high voltage battery design and validation
 - Proven experience in Battery Management System design and validation
 - Experience in DOORS, Matlab\Simulink, Vector tools and any hardware design simulation tool.
 - Experience in CAD design
 - Project Management
