Job description:

As a Senior Controls Engineer with a global powertrain consultancy your key focuse will be software development for transmission controls. Our client is the world's largest independent company for development, simulation and testing technology of powertrains (hybrid, combustion engines, transmission, electric drive, batteries and software) for passenger cars, trucks and large engines.

Your responsibilities will include: 
 - Requirements elicitation
 - Algorithm design, implementation, simulation & test
 - Documentation
 - Technical and formal review of all items at all stages of the development lifecycle
 - Customer interaction
Profile:

Essential:
 - First degree in an engineering discipline, or comparable qualification with relevant experience
 - Demonstrable ability to use Simulink/Stateflow (including simulation and TargetLink code generation) for real time embedded control
 - Demonstrable ability to use the C programming language
 - Experience of software development processes (full v-cycle)
 - Understanding of automotive transmission technologies
 - Understanding of requirements elicitation
 - Ability to represent the company in front of the customer
 - Knowledge of safety as it applies to automotive technologies (MISRA, ISO26262)
 - English language (spoken and written)
 - Driving licence valid for driving in the UK
Preferable:
 - Experience of automotive transmission technologies
 - A second language (German or Chinese an advantage)
Package:
 - Annual Remuneration: GBP38,000 - GBP46,000 
 - Relocation assistance

 - 22 days holiday increasing by 1 day a year to a max. of 28 days (unless stated otherwise)
