The Role

You will be working on the heart of the car delivering the V8 - V12 engine Mild Hybrid  and developing the core future PHEV Plug-in to all car platforms. Key to this will be delivering maximum performance while delivering fuel and emissions target to worldwide emissions regulation for engines and launching their first EV/PHEV platform

We are looking for an individual to join our team of dedicated engineers to implement the design and installation of electric machines within a new family of hybrid vehicles

Main Tasks  
 - Have a deep knowledge of electric machines used on vehicle powertrains (e.g. Radial flow permanent magnet / induction electric machines; axial flow permanent magnet electric machines; switch reluctance electric machines; etc...)
 - Be able to perform a preliminary design of electric machines
 - Be able to interface with electric machine suppliers to provide a contribution during the life cycle of the component (e.g. Require changes in the design process in order to improve performance, mass and envelope saving, etc...)
 - Have a good knowledge of electric design softwares and electric machines design
 - Be able to interface with electronic control system and battery designers to optimize the behavior of the electrical system as a whole
 - Be able to interface with engine and vehicle test departments in order to integrate the electrical system within the powertrain system

Requirements
 - Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
 - Experience in the design of electric machines (preferably in Automotive field but not binding)
 - Teamwork oriented and willing to achieve the defined objectives
 - Ability to work in a dynamic and stimulating environment
 - Availability to travel (Domestic and Overseas)
 - Good knowledge of Italian and English language (both spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications:
Engineering experience in automotive electric motor design.
Excellent technical skills in engineering, physics, mathematics and numerical methods.
Experience in electromagnetic simulation.
