Job description:

** MACHINE LEARNING RESEARCH - ADAS Software Leader - WORKING WITH A MAJOR UK OEM ON LEVEL 4 DELIVERY**
Tiro is working with a global leading vehicle manufacturer based in the West Midlands to build a team to take driving to the next level. As part of a small, dedicated, growing team you will play a central role delivering level 4 and beyond ADAS features to market for launch across all platforms. Our client is a premium brand recognised across the world with a major commitment to deliver the very best to its customers in autonomous driving features.
This is a permanent role as a Team Leader delivering the future underpinning AI for pushing the boundaries of autonomous driving and a delivering safe driving future. The team is expanding providing plenty of opportunity to push for a long term developing career that can offer real development. We relocate engineers throughout the world and can help you make that transition into the UK
Your responsibilities:
Participate in state of the art research in machine learning for automotive applications.
Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data taken from diverse sources and in a variety of formats.
Apply feature extraction,  selection and feature engineering techniques to data.
Conduct experiments, investigate and prototype machine learning models applicable to driver assistance features. 
Ensure model integrity and performance using techniques such as  validation/cross-validation and hyper-parameter tuning. 
Document, organize, and disseminate information, outcomes and insights, clearly and concisely.
Work as part of a team to develop robust machine learning solutions for real world, large scale deployment.
Work in an open, transparent and collaborative manner, sharing good practice and seeking to continuously improve the quality of outputs.

Your Profile:

Essential:
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics,  Data Analytics, Statistics or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in the application of machine learning algorithms to practical problems such as classification, regression or clustering.
Experience with machine learning methods and frameworks.
An understanding of various data structures and common methods in data transformation.
Experience with software development using general-purpose programming languages (C++, Python)
Thorough understanding of system and software engineering principles and the software development lifecycle
Highly motivated and self-starting 

Desired:
Knowledge of supervised, semi-supervised and unsupervised learning approaches.
Hands on work experience in the implementation of machine learning/deep learning  and its application to real world problems.
Knowledge of deep learning, convolution networks.
Knowledge or experience of image processing, specifically for pattern recognition.
Experience working with  Tensorflow,  Keras,  Caffe or equivalent.
Experience of common data science toolkits, such as Python, R, NumPy,  SciPy, Scikit-learn, MatLab, etc.
Understanding of feature selection, cross-validation and hyper-parameter tuning.
Knowledge or experience in developing for embedded systems
Knowledge or experience of GPU programming and parallel algorithm development.

Processes, systems and tools:
C++, Python
TensorFlow, Keras, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn and other machine learning libraries/frameworks as required.
