Job description:

As the SOFTWARE ENGINEER, MACHINE LEARNING  for a prestigious vehicle manufacturer you will be responsible for the research, design, development and delivery of vehicle level driver assistance features. 

Your responsibilities will include: 
 - Participate in state of the art research in machine learning for automotive applications.
 - Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data taken from diverse sources and in a variety of formats.
 - Apply feature extraction,  selection and feature engineering techniques to data.
 - Conduct experiments, investigate and prototype machine learning models applicable to driver assistance features. 
 - Ensure model integrity and performance using techniques such as  validation/cross-validation and hyper-parameter tuning. 
 - Document, organize, and disseminate information, outcomes and insights, clearly and concisely.
 - Work as part of a team to develop robust machine learning solutions for real world, large scale deployment.
 - Work in an open, transparent and collaborative manner, sharing good practice and seeking to continuously improve the quality of outputs.
 - Candidates are expected to be comfortable working across a range of technologies, possessing an enthusiasm, curiosity and aptitude for  machine learning and all its facets.  

Your Profile:

Required
 - Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics,  Data Analytics, Statistics or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
 - Experience in the application of machine learning algorithms to practical problems such as classification, regression or clustering.
 - Experience with machine learning methods and frameworks.
 - An understanding of various data structures and common methods in data transformation.
 - Experience with software development using general-purpose programming languages (C++, Python)
 - Thorough understanding of system and software engineering principles and the software development lifecycle
 - Highly motivated and self-starting individual.

Desired
 - Knowledge of supervised, semi-supervised and unsupervised learning approaches.
 - Hands on work experience in the implementation of machine learning/deep learning  and its application to real world problems.
 - Knowledge of deep learning, convolution networks.
 - Knowledge or experience of image processing, specifically for pattern recognition.
 - Experience working with  TensorfFlow,  Keras,  Caffe or equivalent
 - Experience of common data science toolkits, such as Python, R, NumPy,  SciPy, Scikit-learn, MatLab, etc.
 - Understanding of feature selection, cross-validation and hyper-parameter tuning.
 - Knowledge or experience in developing for embedded systems
 - Knowledge or experience of GPU programming and parallel algorithm development

Processes, systems and tools
 - C++, Python
 - TensorFlow, Keras, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn and other machine learning libraries/frameworks as required.
 - Linux
 - MISRA compilers, 
 - Automotive SPICE 
 - Real time Operating Systems
