Job description:

As Technical Paint Operation Manager with a leading outsourcing facilities company to the automotive industry you will be responsible for supporting the senior management team in technical paint operations, with the objective of growing the service provision. 

Responsibility will cover management of labour, plant, equipment operation and maintenance, financial and administrative duties.

Technical Paint Operation Manager Responsibilities include: 
Oversee management of operational resources across the Paint Shop, Trade Effluent Plant and Paint Tooling contract. 
Knowledge of the budgets for the defined area and monitoring of actual costs against budget, utilising visual management where appropriate. 
To achieve minimum expenditure on resources, whilst maintaining and developing employees and infrastructure to reach business long term objectives
Ensure that Paint Shop Cleaning operations are undertaken in a safe manner with special focus on ensuring:
All necessary risk assessments and method statements are available
All necessary current best practice is available and used
All necessary visual aids are available and used
All necessary Safety Observation Reports and Hazard Spots are identified and managed; 
Ensure that all staff have the required competence to undertake their roles, providing
the necessary training and development whether appropriate where appropriate and
maintaining accurate records of this training. 

Establish and maintain a working knowledge of Company systems and endeavour to
ensure adherence to these, paying special attention to Operating Systems and
processes for timely delivery of services to the required standard. Implement new
and revised systems when necessary. 

light0 To maintain the operation in a state of control and to identify and measure all
necessary parameters of process performance to guarantee that customer
requirements are met.

Identify process/quality improvements and manage their introduction where
appropriate. 

Promotion of a culture of Operational Excellence, through the execution of ideas and
improvements to quantitatively and qualitatively improve costs, quality and services
to the organisation and our customers;

To establish and maintain a clear understanding of customer quality standards and
operate audit processes that ensures both Customer and Leadec expectations are
met. 

To undertake a regular review of services provided in conjunction with the customer
to determine the extent of customer satisfaction being achieved. Including
attendance and presentation at Paint Shop Supplier Review (6 weekly)

To interface with multiple subcontractors and customer senior management
interfaces on a regular basis
 
To undertake the effective building and maintenance of client relationships ensuring
the Leadec image suitability represents the high standards required by the company

Maintain a working knowledge of Company HR processes, ensuring they are carried
out correctly, and both seeking support from, or providing support to, Human
Resources where appropriate. 

The ideal candidate for the role of Technical Paint Operation Manager:

HNC or equivalent qualification
Extensive knowledge of Paint Shop processes and procedures
Health and Safety regulations and Legislation
Managing in an automotive environment 
Planning provision of resource
People Management
Leading and support teams and individuals
Handling customer complaints and queries face-to-face
Experience of managing in an Paint Shop environment
A demonstrable aptitude for problem solving
An ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and to support staff to do the
same

The ability to delegate

IIT literate 

Demonstrates a strong desire to satisfy the needs of customer whilst maintaining the
needs of the business
