Job description:

As Business Development Manager with a leading facilities management company supporting automotive manufacturing and production facilities you will be responsible for growing the UK business through the identification and management of both existing and new business opportunities.

The post reports directly to the UK Sales & Business Development Director.

These 2 roles are for Business development Manager who is hunter type sales people who are able to find new business in adjacent markets - i.e. installation & automation also such as aerospace, rail/bus sectors, yellow goods, general manufacturing, and processing industries. 
 
Automotive with FM or a service background would be ideal must have large scale project selling experience in engineering to automotive and aerospace etc.
 
Successful candidates should be able to do financial assessments - liaise and build up relationships, formulate how to present, engineer and architect a solution to the client - a full RFQ - from site survey to structure a solution.  Experience in dealing with GBP5 million plus contracts. 
 
Business Development Manager Responsibilities include: 
Identify, initiate and establish supply relationships with OEMs and automotive suppliers in the UK
Build up strategic Facility soft & Hard service solution offers to support our client requirements
Build and develop a strong and consultative relationship with all of our existing and new client bases
Lead business development projects and liaise effectively with other internal functions of the business to ensure a co-ordinated approach
Secure new business growth in line with Corporate Strategy in our core automotive and adjacent industries
Assist in establishing and modifying business development strategy
Take Lead responsibility for formulating bids in response to RFI/RFQs from customers.
Build and present offers to audiences at all levels of any organisation
Maintain up to date sales records using Salesforce CRM and provide the business with strong market intelligence
Communicate effectively with other members of the Sales & Marketing teams to ensure cross selling of business opportunities
Actively participate in sales and business meetings to review team and company performance and activities
Work in co-operation with Global organisation to maximise opportunities and business development synergies.
At all times work in a safe manner particularly when visiting customers sites and wear the appropriate PPE as required by the customer.
Any such duties as reasonably requested by the Business Development Director
Performance Measures
Achievement of yearly personal targets and objectives that are set with the Sales & Business
Development Director in the annual Goal Agreement personal meeting.

Completion of bid documents in response to RFI/RFQs from customers in the agreed time frame
Feedback from internal colleagues, senior management and customers 
Completion of projects and tasks in agreed timeframes

The ideal candidate for the role of Business Development Manager:

This role requires a degree qualified person. 
Good knowledge of major manufacturing and automotive organisations
Preferably already working in the UK service sector providing a range of service activities to the automotive industry
Driven, self-motivated individual experienced in selling to UK industry sectors.

Proven track record of relationship building with good contact networks.
Good presenter with strong communication skills.

Able to manage most software systems including word, excel and powerpoint.

Numerate and able to negotiate effectively

Self-starter able to work remotely as part of a highly motivated sales team.
Enthusiastic, charismatic, personable, performance driven
Easy, outgoing style - able to deal effectively with people from different backgrounds.
