Job description:

This is a unique opportunity to join the premier sports car brand. You will be based in the heart of the company at the prestigious state of the art Maranello facility. The work is purely working on the GT V8/ V12 and development road cars. Typical projects are 2-3 years and will cover working with all major stake holders in a unified car delivery. As the RSC BIW Telaio Motore Anteriore you will contribute to the definition of the car chassis archetypes and to the definition of the standards of the materials to be used, ensuring the management of the frame project through calculation and design activities to support the technical resolution of the component

Primary Responsibilities:
 - Study and implementation of materials and processes for the design and development of car chassis
 - Definition of the chassis specifications (technical and technological specifications) after the car briefing and the car target setting
 - Definition of the frame component resolution plan, consistently with the vehicle plan
 - Guarantee of the feasibility of the solutions adopted according to the required functional and technological standards, of the constraints of packaging and assembly (with support of the Technologies)
 - Management of external CAD / CAE resources to support 3D modeling and virtual validation of the solutions adopted
 - Critical analysis of simulations and structural calculations
 - Critical analysis, joint with the Performance Engineers, of the experimental tests of the frame resolution
 - Technical interface with suppliers within the vehicle team
 - Weight management and frame costs in compliance with the Initiative targets
 - 3D and 2D mathematical release of the components and subsets necessary for the construction of the proto and standard equipment of the frame

Your Profile: 
 - Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Aeronautics or Materials)
 - Knowledge of tools and methods of simulation and structural calculation of frames
 - Experience of the structural behavior of frames in terms of crashes and NVH
 - Expertise designing with 3D models in the automotive sector
 - Previous experience in the field of composite materials
 - Good interpersonal, communication and work skills in transversal teams
 - Fluent English
 - Italian fluent or with a strong predisposition to learn it
