System Architect - Core Development

Job description:

As the System Architect - Core Development with a world leader in automotive safety systems this is your opportunity to:

 - Work on cutting edge development, design in advance of any application implementation
 - Operate as part of a Dynamic team using major processes that will be helping the team develop the project in new ways (scripting technology), new things not done elsewhere in the company
 - Be the key point of contact for core developments by core Engineering leads
 - Affect the real direction of core design

Your key tasks will include:
 - Define system architecture in SysML, with design tools like Rhapsody
 - Develop & refine ECU requirements by working closely with different stakeholders
 - Co-ordinate engineering activities for new product bids and track progress of engineering assignments
 - Lead resolution activities for electronic system integration issues
 - Carry out necessary system analysis to support system safety deliverables

The ideal candidate for the role of System Architect - Core Development:
 - System level development experience in both HW and SW engineering
 - Knowledge of Rhapsody or similar to do real system architecture
 - Software understanding in Matlab/Simulink because of simulation tasks
 - Key understanding of capturing and writing requirements Ã  bring them in architecture and export them to DOORS 
 - Good overall understanding of a number of different Engineering domains (SW Electronics, safety, mechanical design
 - System design with SW and safety and mechanical because this all comes in, everything needs to be aligned 
 - High-level view and understanding how the system should be integrated, ability to make decisions that will drive both HW and SW
 - Be a practical and pragmatic character
